HP LASER PRINTER ERROR CODE 68 - ERROR IN NVRAM, SERVICE ERROR NVRAM FULL

ALL HP LASER PRINTERS

1. Temporary error, Cycle power on and off.

2. Defective formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER  5P, 6P ( 68 ERROR  - ERROR IN NVRAM ) 68 SERVICE - NVRAM FULL ) 5P, 6P 

1. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

1. Perform NVRAM initialization by holding down the ( Reset ) button for more than 20 seconds while power on  the printer.

2. If error persists replace the formatter board

HP LASER PRINTER  4, 4+, 4P ( 68  ERROR -  ERROR IN NVRAM ) ( 68 SERVICE  -  NVRAM FULL) 4, 4+, 4P

1. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

1. Perform NVRAM initialization by holding down the or ( ITEM )  button while power on the printer.

2. If error persists replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER ERROR CODE 68 – MEMORY

HP LASER PRINTER 3SI, 4SI, 4V 

1. Defective SIMMs. 

2. Replace memory SIMMs.

HP LASER PRINTER  5, 5SI ( 68 ERROR  - ERROR IN NVRAM ) ( 68 SERVICE NVRAM FULL ) 5, 5SI

1. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

2. Perform NVRAM initialization by holding down the ( ITEM ) or ( JOB CANCEL ) button while power on  the printer.

3. Still have problems replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER 5SI

1. Incompatible tray 3.

2. Replace paper tray 3

HP LASER PRINTERS 1200, 2200, 3100,3150 FAX, 3200 FAX, 4100    ( ERROR 68 NVRAM FULL CHECK SETTINGS )

1. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

1. Print a configuration page and check the printer settings to determine which values have changed.

2. Hold down ( Cancel Job ) Button while turning the printer on.

HP LASER PRINTERS 1200, 2200, 3100,3150 FAX, 3200 FAX, 4100    ( ERROR 68.X PERMANENT STORAGE FULL )

1. Print a configuration page and check the printer settings to determine which values have changed.

2. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

3. Hold down ( Cancel Job ) Button while turning the printer on.

4. Replace the formatter.

HP LASER PRINTERS 1100, 2100, 4000, 4050, 8000, 8100, 8150 ( ERROR 68 NVRAM FULL CHECK SETTINGS )

1. Print a configuration page and check the printer settings to determine which values have changed.

2. Remove EIO / Net Work Card. It will be reset if not removed.

3. Hold down ( Cancel Job ) Button while turning the printer on.

4. Replace the formatter board

HP LASER PRINTER 2300 ( ERROR 68.X STORAGE ERROR SETTINGS CHANGED, PERMANENT STORAGE FULL, PERMANENT STORAGE WRITE FAILURE )

1.One or more printer settings saved to storage device X invalid and has been reset to its factory default. Press the Select button to clear the the error and continue printing.

2. Removable disk ( Flash or Hard disk)

3. Replace the hard disk.

4. Try replacing the flash memory.

HP LASER PRINTERS 2410, 2420, 2430 (ERROR 68.X PERMANENT STORAGE FULL)

1. The printer permanent storage is full. Some settings might have been reset to the factory defaults.

2. Press the SELECT button to continue.

3. FOR 68.0 errors, turn the printer off and then turn the printer on again.

4. If the 68.0 error persists, initialize NVRAM.

5. FOR 68.1 error, use the HP Web Jetadmin software to delete files from the disk drive.

6. If the 68.1 error message persists, replace the formatter.

7. If the 68.1 error message persists, reinitialize the hard drive.

8. If the 68.1 error message persists, replace the disk.

HP LASER PRINTERS 2410, 2420, 2430 (ERROR 68.X PERMANENT STORAGE WRITE FAIL)

1. The storage device is failing to write. Printing can continue, but there might be some unexpected behaviors because an error occurred in permanent storage.

2. Press the SELECT button to continue.

3. Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on again.

4. If the 68.0 error persists, initialize the NVRAM

5. If the error message persists, replace the formatter.

6. For the 68.1 error message, reinitialize the hard drive.

7. If the 68.1 error persists, replace the disk.

HP LASER PRINTERS 2410, 2420, 2430 (ERROR 68.X STORAGE ERROR SETTINGS CHANGED)

1. An error occurred in the printer permanent storage and one or more printer settings has been reset to its factory default.

2. Press the SELECT button to continue.

3. Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on again.

4. Check the printer settings to determine which settings have been changed. See "Settings and defaults" and "Control panel menus".

5. Perform a NVRAM initialization.

6. Replace the formatter

HP LASER PRINTER P3005, 3027M, 3035 ERROR 68.X

1. A non-volatile storage device is full. Press the SELECT button to clear the message. Printing can continue, but unexpected behavior could result.

2. Turn the device off and then on.

3. Perform an NVRAM initialization.

4. If the message persists, replace the formatter.

HP LASER PRINTER 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350 ( ERROR 68.X PERMANENT STORAGE ERROR )

1. Print a configuration page and check the printer settings to determine which values have changed.

2. Perform an NVRAM initialization.

3. Replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350 ( ERROR 68.0, 68.1 PERMANENT STORAGE FULL, PERMANENT STORAGE FULL )

1. Use the HP Web jet admin software to delete files from the disk drive.

2. Reinitialize the hard disk.

3. Replace the hard disk.

4. Replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER 4345MFP, 5025MFP, 5035MFP ERROR 68.X STORAGE ERROR SETTINGS CHANGED

1. One or more MFP settings are invalid and have been reset to the factory default settings, Printing can continue, but some unexpected functions might occur if an error occurred in permanent storage.

2. Touch OK to clear the message. If the message is not cleared, turn the MFP off, and then turn the MFP on.

3 Determine which settings have changed by printing a control panel menu map.

4. Perform an NVRAM initialization.

5. Replace the formatter.

HP LASER PRINTER 4345MFP, 5025MFP, 5035MFP ERROR 68.X PERMANENT STORAGE FULL

1. The MFP NVRAM is full. Some settings that are saved in the NVRAM might have been reset to factory defaults. Printing can continue, but some unexpected functions might occur if an error occurred in permanent storage.

68.0 - Onboard NVRAM failure.

68.1 - Memory DIMM or hard disk failure.

2. Touch OK to clear the message. If the message is not cleared, turn the MFP off, and then turn the MFP on.

3. For 68.0 errors, perform an NVRAM initialization.

4. For 68.1 errors:

a. use the HP Web Jetadmin software to delete files from the hard drive.

b. Replace the formatter.

c. Reinitialize the hard drive.

d. Replace the hard disk.

HP COLOR LASER PRINTER 4500, 4550

1. NVRAM error.

2.Change the formatter board.

HP COLOR LASER PRINTER 4600, 5500 ( 68.0, 68.1 PERMANENT STORAGE ERROR, PERMANENT STORAGE FULL, PERMANENT WRITE FAILED )

1. If 68.0 error persists, execute an NVRAM inititialization.

2. Use HP Web jet admin software to delete files from the disk drive.

3. Reinitialize the hard disk.

4. Replace the hard disk.

5. Replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTERS 5000, 5100 ( ERROR 68 NVRAM ERROR CHECK SETTINGS ) and ( ERROR 68 NVRAM FULL ) 

1. Print a configuration page and check the printer settings to determine which values have changed.

2. Hold down ( Cancel Job ) Button while turning the printer on.

3. Replace the formatter.

HP LASER PRINTER 5200 ERROR 68.X (PERMANENT STORAGE FULL) and ( PERMANENT STORAGE WRITE FAIL)

1.Press SELECT to continue.

2. For 68.0 errors, turn the printer off and then on.

3. If a 68.0 error persists, contact HP Support.

4. For 68.1 errors, use the HP Web Jetdirect software to delete files from the disk drive.

HP LASER PRINTER 5200 ERROR 68.X ERROR (STORAGE ERROR SETTINGS CHANGED)

1. Press to see step by step information.

2. To clear the error, press ? to exit the message, and then press SELECT to continue.

3. If the problem persists, turn the printer off and then on.

4. To exit, press ?

HP COLOR LASER PRINTER 8500, 8550 ERROR NVRAM SETTINGS CHANGED.

1. Indicates that a recoverable error has been detected in the NVRAM.

2. Do a cold reset.

3. Replace the NVRAM DIMMS.

4. Replace the formatter board.

HP COLOR LASER PRINTER 8500, 8550 ERROR NVRAM FULL SETTINGS LOST.

1. Indicates that the NVRAM is full and the printer is unable to write new data.

2. Do a cold reset.

HP LASER PRINTER 9000
, 9040, 9050MFP ( ERROR 68.X NVRAM OR HARDDISK  PERMANENT STORAGE WRITE FAILURE )

1. Reseat the hard disk.

2. Reinitialize the hard disk.

3. Replace the hard disk.

HP LASER PRINTER 9000, 9040, 9050MFP ( ERROR 68.0  PERMANENT STORAGE  ERROR )

1. Print a configuration page.

2. Perform a NVRAM initialization and re-enter the configuration information.

3. Replace the formatter board.

HP LASER PRINTER 9000, 9040, 9050MFP ( ERROR 68.1 PERMANENT STORAGE FULL ) THE NVRAM OR HARD DISK IS FULL.

1. Reseat the hard disk.

2. Reinitialize the hard disk.

3. Replace the hard disk.
